Develop More Technical & Career Readiness Programs

The American Economy is undergoing a transformation, but Alabama is lagging behind. After years hearing people in Montgomery talk about jobs, there’s been few positive outcomes. That has to change. We must work to anticipate and respond to new opportunities by ensuring that businesses have access to the skilled workforce and the human capital they need to thrive in Alabama. Starting with our high school graduates all the way through retraining of laid-off workers, we must strive to craft new workforce development opportunities for Alabamians by promoting dual enrollment programs and industrial training. Alabama’s workers must be fully prepared and be first in line to take advantage of them, especially our young people.
